I was tested with an IQ above 135 and placed in gifted education. I tested in the top 5% of all standardized tests I took through school and within the top 2% on most. I attended university, where I studied philosophy, achieving presidential honors list and minored in the Russian language, which makes up part of my ethnic heritage. I lived in Russia and, upon returning, served in AmeriCorps. I transitioned into a career in nonprofit, but realized I needed to learn more about business and received an MBA.

After an attempt to enter political life in America, defeat came with severe consequences. I am not very wealthy or super successful, but I truly believe my life outcomes have profoundly more to do with the choices I have made and the risks I have taken than with my genetics. Those choices led to my being on disability. I am completely independent, but I do not work.

My ethnicity is primarily Scotch Irish, with about 12% of English and Russian and a smaller percentage of Italian and Jewish.
