I am a highly-educated, compassionate, outgoing math teacher living in Southern California. I have earned a masters degree in education with a specialization in educational technology. I completed this degree in 10 months with a 4.0 GPA, earning me distinguished honors. My undergrad work focused on the requirements for my teaching credential. My bachelors degree has a major in liberal studies and a minor in european history. I am nearing completion of my 14th year as an educator. I have taught nearly all levels from kindergarten to adult studies. I have also worked several years as a trainer for three curriculum publishers, and have dabbled in some side work as a tutor.
My passions include animal rescue, sustainability, reading, and houseplants. It is my opinion that we should all strive to leave the earth better than we found it. I am married to an Army veteran who now works as a locksmith. He has also earned a bachelors degree in horticulture. He can be described as generous, honest, and respectful.
We grew up in neighboring cities, but didn't meet until we were adults. I performed in the football half-time shows on the drill and dance teams for my high school, and he played football for our rival school! We laugh at the thought of how many times we were at the same place, but we never crossed paths. How did we eventually meet? We played Dungeons and Dragons in the same group!
We were married in December of 2018, and, after a year of trying to conceive, medical testing determined that my husband has no sperm. We believe that there is no shame in using alternative routes to have a child, and so we are seeking a sperm donor to assist us in growing a family.
We own a house and are financially stable. We have full, premium medical insurance that will be shared with our child. My mom lives with us as well, and she is thrilled with the prospect of being a grandmother. Since my husband and I work full-time, my mom will be the caregiver for our child when we are at our jobs. She has a bachelors degree in early childhood education and a kind heart. My husband's parents are retired and live nearby. They will also play a strong role in our child's upbringing. His father retired after 35 years in the Army as a full bird colonel, and then went on to teach high school history. My husband's mom was a full-time parent during her husband's time in the Army. After he retired and settled down, she began working as a high school librarian. I say all of this to assure our donor that we are able to meet and exceed our child's needs, and that our child will be brought up by a core of well-educated people.
We appreciate your consideration of our family and look forward to speaking with you soon.
