I have always wanted to be a father. When my wife and I married, we thought she could raise a child; however, the immigration process was long, and as the years went on, she realized her age wouldn't allow her to give to a child all that he or she needs. (I am from India and my wife is 15 years older than I am.) Although for a time, I accepted this as my reality, it didn't change the desire in my heart to become a dad.

My wife suggested co-parenting as a solution so that we could still continue to be married. Ideally, I would like to find someone who wants to have a child through IUI. I would want to take full responsibility as a dad to this child, emotionally, financially, and in terms of time. I would hope that I could find someone with whom I could have a supportive friendship and that together we could raise a happy and healthy child who would be loved and cared for by both. My wife would like to help as well, but more in terms of being in the role of an aunt. I would like to live in close proximity with my child, or even in the same house. I am open to ideas and suggestions, depending on the situation of the mother.
