I’m a single woman with no siblings (lost my brother to cancer) and I want to create my own family while my parents are still “around”. A year ago I decided to freeze my eggs in order to use them eventually with a partner. I firmly believe that love creates babies and not social norms or prejudices. However I gave up on the wish of finding “the one” a long time ago; and the truth is that the majority of men in my age (and/or older) I see on dating apps either don’t want children or already have one and are not open to children. Therefore I decided that if I want a family, I can have my own family as I have so much love to give to my baby. I am pretty aware of the challenges of raising a child as a single-mother that’s why I’m also open to co-parenting. I work in higher education and I can say I’m financially independent.
