I've wanted to be a mother for as long as I can remember. Last year, I started the adoption process. The process was revealing and made me question every aspect of how I’d like to provide for a child. It helped me realise, if I knew I could love a child like my own as a single parent, there could be other ways to create a family, and that perhaps, I should explore other options first. I'd like to grow a family in whatever unconventional shape that takes, ideally with a co-parent or a known donor.

It's been a long and windy road to get here. I have a big-heart, filled with love, joy, wonderment and the trees to bring into a child's life. My love of nature started early, from collecting sticks when I was 4 to a transformative trip to South Africa, when I was 12, where I felt part of nature - and in awe of it. It's defined my path in life, and how I apply myself in work. I believe people and nature are at the heart of healthy systems and a healthy economy in service of the greater thriving of life. And so, nature connectedness starting with ourselves, each other and the more-than-human world inspires everything I do. Shepherding a soul would be no different.
