I have children, but my youngest daughter, who is only 3 months old, has a terminal illness and likely won’t be with us beyond this year. The anticipatory grief is hard, and while she is absolutely irreplaceable, I want to bring some joy and hope back into my family’s life. I’m hoping to get pregnant soon, not to replace her, but to give my family something to look forward to during this heartbreaking time.
