Hello,

I'm a German-Australian with a Master's degree living and working in Mexico. My previous partners didn't want children, so I decided to try alone and fell pregnant through IUI at first try a few months ago, but miscarried. Sperm donors through a clinic are anonymous in Mexico, and I would much rather raise a child with an active father, or at least someone who's happy to have some contact with his son or daughter. That's when I read about this site.

Who am I: I’m a journalist, translator and teacher, and work online as well as teaching face-to-face at a university. I’m physically active and an avid runner, play piano and guitar, do yoga and mediate, love to read and dig up information for my students, don't smoke and rarely drink, have a good sense of humor, and like to garden and be outdoors. After building a life in three different countries, I've become very good at organizing, tackling various challenges at once, and building strong relationships with people around me, as well as maintaining connections with old friends thousands of kilometers away. I’d describe myself as pretty liberal, into equality, and consider community spirit important, so I’ve volunteered for various causes.

Values and priorities: I would like to bring up a child in a loving and tolerant environment, in a way that enables it to make its own informed decisions (within limits). I'm not planning to impose a particular religion or special diet (apart from healthy and nutritious). My family background is catholic, but my parents preferred to let me choose for myself, and I would rather integrate various positive values than tying them to a particular organization. I consider a good education and opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, sports and music important, and find being emotionally present more valuable than owning lots of stuff.

In regard to money, I’m neither rich nor poor, but after working for 20 years, I’m financially stable enough to bring up a child on my own. And due to working online quite a bit these days, I also have a fairly flexible schedule. Let’s see if we find each other.
