I am healthy, have never had a serious illness and have also had a 23andMe DNA test which did not find any genetic abnormalities.
I have a First-Class Honours BSc degree and a PhD in a STEM subject and am gainfully employed. I have no criminal record. I was a rugby player in my twenties, achieved a high level of physical fitness and have never been overweight during my life.
I am HIV negative, free of STIs and fully vaccinated against Hepatitis B. But I am happy to take an STI test before donating.
The only heritable issue I know about is that I carry the genetic predisposition for myopia (short-sightedness). However, that condition can be cured with laser eye surgery nowadays and I have not experienced any significant difficulties due to it.
