I'm an actuary, I also have a Master's degree in mathematics. I'm a former aviation student and learned to fly light sport aircraft. I'm originally from just outside of Boston. I play a little bit of the piano, especially Beethoven, and enjoy playing challenging video games like Soulsborne games. I occasionally play poker, especially Texas Hold 'em. I also enjoy reading novels and writing as well.
My parenting philosophy would be to try to get the child to think for himself/herself by asking thought-provoking questions, rather than saying "do this" or "don't do that". At the same time, I think the child would benefit from having some structure, but i would be careful not to overdo it. Also, since I work remotely from home, I would be able to help with the child's early years while continuing to hold a job. Finally, I would want to help the child figure out what he/she enjoyed most and was good at, and encourage him/her to pursue that passion.
