My name is Lauren. I'm an aspiring and talented artist with an outgoing personality. My adolescence was confusing and messy. Growing up in a Christian family took a huge toll on who I would become after discovering myself that I was attracted to females. I tried to have boyfriends so that I wouldn't feel like a disgrace. my self esteem and identity was tormented for many years. When I was 16 I became pregnant and carried a little girl for 5 and a half months until I had to have emergency surgery and my little baby didn't survive the operation.
though I was absolutely not ready to be a mother at age 16, this event changed who I am as a person. the only time my life was ever straight was when I thought I was going to have a child. maybe she was taken so that I would be given more time to grow up. and now here I am many years later, I am out as a lesbian, closer to my family than ever, and I am engaged to a wonderful woman and we are ready to try to have our own baby. she is excited but I am anxious and eager to have a little baby so I can give it all the love that was yet to be received by my first little miracle that never got to experience life.
